Comp A sponsored you in good faith that you will join them after getting the GC. So, you will need to be willing to join CompA now. But if CompA is not able to hire you, you need to get documentary evidence that Comp A is unable to hire you at the moment due to the circumstances which need to be specified in the letter. And then, you can go about your employment with Comp C.

I shot this on the Golden Gate this morning. I liked the general effect of the cars, but you'll notice the whole thing is soft. There was a lot of haze, which was a problem, but even worse, the whole bridge was shaking. I was surprised the pic came out this clear... I need a better locale, I think...

I just had a $5k client "crawfish" on me...
It wasn't totally his fault, he went out of business... :*(
I didn't do a lot up front, just becuase I was concerned about getting paid... I still lost money... :*(
Oh well, back to the streets to drum up more clients...

Greatly apprecite if anyone can give their inputs...
I have PD with dec 2006 and 140 approved. Filed 485 in July 2007. For october 2008 I will be done with 4 years of H1b. I am single and I may not get married untill later 2009 due to some family responsibalities. I am kind of concered about 485 getting approval by then which might jeoperdise my spouse visa later. Based on the present processing speed, mine might take minmum 2 years. But bit concerend what if USCICS make a mistake in processing 485 in terms of picking 485 from a later date and approving it?
Highly unlikely that they would approve a 485 when the PD is not current. The problem here is, even it has happened to someone, we will not see them come out and make an announcement as they fear their approval will be revoked. So we never hear of such cases.
So my query is...
1. If I now withdraw my 485 and later change company. SHould I again get a new labor and i140 approved with new company to file for 485.( Here I understand I can port my PD.).

Has anybody tried booking an emergency apointment? I was checking that some time back when I wanted to go urgently and it says that it is for people wanting to visit US for urgent family matters and not for people who are currently in the US and visiting home country. Anybody has tried this (going from US to get visa stamped in India in an urgent situation?).

Have you got their decision on your 140? They wouldn't make dicision on your 485 untill they have decision on your 140. If your 140 got denied, your 485 would be denied.

The members-only forums - now those, I agree - mainly ideas, activities etc. (Personally, I find it very difficult to stay tuned to 3 or 4 different immigration web sites/forums).

Thanks for replying to my message. Even if she leaves the country, she has no H1 or H4 visa stamping to come back. Her COS(H4 to H1B) is applied in Aug 2006 and it was expired in Oct 2006 and we didn't knew that we have to apply for H4 side-by-side. Bcoz of this situation, she has neither of the status. Even if we want to apply H4, her H4 is already expired in Aug 2006 and I am not sure if we can apply for H4 now. Can we apply for H4 now...??

Recently there has been and update on the H1 , L1 Law stating that they have de-coupled the max limit stay on H4-H1 Visa time limits. Meaning, a period spent on H4 is not counted for 6 year limit on H1 Visa and also does not depend on ones spouses 6 years limit. So, it may be possible that you can get her H1 extended beyond the Expiry Date.
I'm not very clear about your problem((H4 to H1B) is applied in Aug 2006 and it was expired in Oct 2006 ) How can the Visa expire in 3 months? But i would suggest you to contact a Good Lawyer in this matter. We did it and it worked for us...
