Hi,
My passport will be expiring in next 6 months. I do have an appt pending with US embassy Bombay. I have some queries, if someone can please guide me:
1. What happens to old passport. I took Appt with old passport number?
2. Can I keep my old passport?
3. Is it OK to go for new renewed passport? Or will it impact the H1B stamping and interview process?
Pls suggest.
Regards

I am changing my job on H1B. I have I-140 approved with present company. What documents do I need to have to keep my old priority date? I have copy of I-140 approval notice. Do I need to have copy of labor certification as well?

nope. not at all. if you want a camera that takes short video clips almost all of the consumer level point and shoot cameras take a video clip with sound and all of them no mater the quality of camera shoot at 640x480 resolution at 30 frames per second. all told they are kinda fun to use and most will shoot for however long your media card allows before running out of space on a 2 gig card you can figure about 30 minutes worth. and also for the video feature some of the low end 100 dollar cameras take just as good quality video as the upper level ones. in fact in my case my wife owns a samsung dig cam that is under 100 bucks and it outperforms my canon digital elph in video for the reason that the lens on hers can zoom in and out opticly while recording my 250 dollar digital elph can zoom opticly before the record button is pushed but once you start recording it will zoom but only digitally which makes for low quality at 640x480 resolution. so i say buy the d40x or the canon rebel xti and then buy a point and shoot camera for the video clips. hope this steers you in the right direction.

Gurus,
Yesterday my lawyer received receipts for my spouse and kids (485/EAD/AP) but not for myself. Now my lawyer is insisting upon sending me the copies of the receipts and do not want to send me the originals. With respect to that I have following questions:
1) Is that o.k having copies only or we should have originals? If we do not
have originals what bad may happen?
2) Either my lawyer or I have not received any of my receipts but we
received all receipts of my family. Is this normal? How long should we wait
for my receipts before contacting USCIS? By the way USCIS already gave
me my all numbers for teh receipts and according to USCIS my receipts
already mailed on Sept 14th. What would be advisable action for me in
this case?
3) None of the receipts of my family contain Priority Date. PD field is blank on all receipts. Is this O.K.?
Thanks.
